For our February service event, we will partner with the Burlington County Animal Shelter where we will provide a day of service. Our volunteers will be asked to perform a variety of tasks including: food preparation, laundry, dishwashing, sorting donations, clean windows and doors, scoop outside for debris, restocking, creating profile cards for the animals, etc. This event will be held at the Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
In addition, Senator Singleton’s office is hosting an animal shelter supply drive. Needed supplies can be dropped off at 400 North Church Street, Suite 260, Moorestown now through February 21. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Suggested donations include: new toys, unopened dry/wet cat and dog food, cat litter, flea/tick preventative, dish soap, sponges, paper towels, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, and large trash bags
The vision of the Burlington County Animal Shelter is to create an environment where all animals receive appropriate care, love, and attention at all times. To ensure the best possible quality of life for all of our animals the Shelter works hard to promote respect and reverence by establishing a “no kill” philosophy. By working with committed volunteers and rescues, over a thousand animals’ lives are saved each year. Additionally, the shelter also provides the essential services for reuniting lost pets with their owners.
Space is limited to 20 volunteers so RSVP today!
