Senior Citizens Club

February is National Senior Independence Month. Independence is taught to us by our parents when we are young, and it is something we strive to maintain throughout our lives, especially as we get older. Key to this is having independent recreational opportunities where seniors can spend time with their peers and the community.

For our February service event, we will be partnering with the Senior Citizens Club in Bordentown Township to give it a floor-to-ceiling scrubbing and cleaning. Volunteers will be asked to help clean the floors, kitchen, bathrooms and great room. This event will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Senior Citizens Club of Bordentown Township, formed in 1997, serves approximately 300 senior citizens in the community. Run by the Township, it helps to provide local seniors with a place where they can volunteer, socialize, play bingo, craft and hobby, or hold meetings. It is also their hub for community outreach as the center runs 10 outreach projects each year.

Space is limited to 20 volunteers, so RSVP today!
